Mamezara means small plate in Japan and we usually use them as a plate for wagashi, tiny foods or soy sauce and so on. I got them at an art gallery in Ginza recently. It had an exhibithion about Mamezara and made original mamezaras collaborating with famous artists, illustrators and designers. These are by Philippe Weisbecker (bottom) and Stasys Eidrigevicius(upper). The sizes are 83mm in diameter.
